Cochlear Implant (CI) & Bone Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA)

Hearing aids and cochlear implants differ significantly. While hearing aids are worn externally, cochlear implants are surgically implanted into the temporal bone. They typically consist of a receiver-stimulator that decodes and transmits electrical signals to the brain, along with an external component.  The BAHA System is another potential treatment option for conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, or single-sided deafness
